Murex Environmental Inc. (Murex) is a growing environmental consulting firm based in Irvine, California. We are seeking an environmental engineer, geologist, or scientist with 2-5 years of experience in site characterization and remediation to join our firm. This position is for full time employment which will include salary, performance-based bonus, and benefits.


Qualifying candidates will have a masters degree in a scientific or engineering discipline related to environmental engineering. The professional must have effective organizational and writing skills and have experience overseeing subcontractors in the field.


Responsibilities will include the selection of site investigation techniques, oversight of subcontractors, field collection of data, and implementation of environmental remediation strategies. Candidates for this position should be on the path to gain PE/PG license and will be mentored to grow in their professional expertise. Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Masters degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, or other environmentally based scientific/engineering discipline

  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills are required

    Qualifying candidates will have strong organizational and communication skills, be a skilled technical writer, and have extensive project experience performing work for industries, legal firms, oil & gas companies, and/or municipalities. The professional must have effective project leadership skills and be able to demonstrate a track record of having overseen multiple successful environmental projects.


    Responsibilities will include proposal writing, estimating, managing teams of subcontractors and Murex technical staff, client service management, and technical project work.       Qualifying candidates will have strong business development skills and extensive project experience performing work for industries, legal firms, oil & gas companies, and/or municipalities. The professional must have effective leadership skills, a proven ability to develop business through relationships, and strong technical expertise.


      Responsibilities will include business development, client service management, and technical project work. This position requires an individual who thrives on challenges and responsibility and will best suit a senior professional that is looking for greater autonomy in the development of their book of business.       Required Qualifications:

      • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, or other environmentally based scientific/engineering discipline

      • 12+ years of demonstrated capability in the environmental science or engineering field, project management, and staff management
      • Proven technical skills as applied to environmental investigation and remediation projects
      • Demonstrated record of business development success, and the ability to add new clients during the candidates first six months
      • Established relationships with industry and regulatory organizations
      • The candidate must have the ability to develop project leads with both new and existing clients while continuing to manage ongoing projects
      • Excellent communication and technical writing skills are required
